Disconnect & Reconnect Full Day Retreat
July 7, 2024 Time: 10:00am - 3:30pm Join Laurie Didyk, for a day of wellness at Mingle Hill Farm in St. Ann’s (Beamsville), Ontario. This day retreat will invite you to feel nourished and connected to the earth. Surround yourself with all the beauty this organic farm has to offer. Walk into the lavender fields, be guided through a sensory herb & flower farm tour, learning about the health benefits of these powerful plants as well as stories of the native and invasive species. Learn how Mingle Hills is unique in Niagara, how Randy & Emily Rozema have crafted this beautiful organic farm, a true labor of love. Laurie will guide you through a gentle yoga session in the surroundings of the flower & herb fields of Mingle Hill. Following you will explore our farm through a dynamic sensory and educational 60-minute tour led by the founders and owners Randy and Emily Rozema. Connect to the earth & let your senses guide you. You will then be led to a lunch picnic prepared by Laurie, ayurvedic themed (she’ll tell you more about that!) either in the fields or in our beautiful rustic style event space (depending on weather and individual choice). We will then move into a seasonal wellness and tips discussion, to understand our connection to nature and our overall wellness, and you will learn about your personal dosha (constitution). The final part of the day will be a Sound Healing practice, led by Laurie’s friend Sveta Cosmos, then followed by a sharing (optional) and reflection of the day. Afterwards, you are welcomed to hang out and roam in the gardens, and shop in our market store and/or ask questions about any of the practices of the day. This is a day that will rejuvenate, calm and center you, and perhaps motivate you to take home some simple healthy practices for this divine summer season. Bonus: You will go home with a recipe, lots of great easy summer tips, and a fresh cut herb bouquet created by you. What to bring: Sunscreen Water bottle or cup Yoga mat & blocks/strap if you have them Hat A pot to transport your herb bouquet home |
